BMW hydrogen 7

BMW has said that it will start production of its Hydrogen 7 vehicle in 2007. In the beginning production will be limited a 100 Hydrogen 7 vehicles and will be sold to selected drivers that will give BMW feedback and further the development of the first BMW hydrogen vehicle. The BMW Hydrogen 7 pushes 260 horsepower doing 0-62 in 9.5 seconds and reaching top speeds of 143 mph. The Hydrogen 7 runs on liquid and hydrogen but also has dual-mode and switches over to premium gasoline.

The car has a hydrogen mode crusing range of more that 125 miles and another 300 miles in gasoline mode.BMW expects a full production version to be available worldwide late in 2008 or early 2009.
