Audi Confirms Mini Competitor: A1 Coming by 2009

Audi has confirmed that the company is working on a small compact car to compete with BMW’s Mini Cooper. The car will be based on Volkswagen’s Polo platform and can cost from anywhere between €10,000 and €15,000. The sport entry model is expected to be developed in collaboration with SEAT and parts from the former VW Golf as well as the current VW Polo. The car is expected to be released in its production form by 2009.
