While our favorite brand BMW is usually considered to be overpriced, it may be surprising to critics when it was named the leader in “Total Value” for the 2006 Strategic Vision Total Value study. The car took points in the warranty, total value in the luxury car, convertible and luxury SUV categories. Of course the new BMW 3-Series came in first for the second year in a row in the near-luxury vehicle category.
The research was done by surveying more than 64,000 buyers who bought a new vehicle from October 2005 through November 2006. The survey also found the BMW vehicles retain their original value more so than other vehicles. So next time you get in your BMW, just remember it is the “Ultimate Driving Machine.”
