Mitsubishi Plans to Sell Electric Car in America

Mitsubishi President, Osamu Masuko, has reportedly said that Mitsubishi is planning on selling a compact electric car in the US and Japan in the near future. The announcement was made by Masuko at a dealer meeting last week. Masuko said the car will be powered by lithium-ion batteries. Mitsubishi might base the car off of its Concept-CT-MIEV hybrid car shown at the Detroit auto show in January. The Concept-CT-MIEV had a 1.1 liter gasoline motor and small electric motors on each wheel giving it all-wheel-drive.
