BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volkswagen have formed an alliance to use the Bluetec emissions treatement system for diesel vehicles that will be sold in the United States. Bluetec models by each automaker are expected to make their debut at the Los Angeles auto show in December. Audi and BMW are expected to use the Q7 and the X5 as debut models for the Bluetec technology. All four companies are going to use the Bluetec name and logo to market the technology in the US which was made by Mercedes and Bosch.
