Just last week we reported that BMW is working on a new four-door model that will be priced below the Phantom between 230,000 and 330,000. CAR Magazine has released further details on the upcoming Rolls Royce model as well as an artist rendition. Hoping to compete with Bentley’s Flying Spur the new Rolls Royce model is expected to be priced around $250,000. The car will be based on BMW’s next generation 7-Series and should be launched sometime in 2009.
Unlike the Rolls Royce Phantom the new saloon will have a steel body instead of aluminum. Engine wise the car is expect to hold BMW’s 6.0 Liter V12 engine producing 544 horsepower. The will have a top speed of 155 mph and is exepcted to do 0-62 mph in less than 6 seconds.
