BMW is hoping to have its BMW X1, the 1 Series based crossover on the roads by 2010 hoping to get a little of the Toyota Rav4 like market. While the BMW X1 will have a range of engines from the 1 Series including four cylinder and six cylinder gas engines ranging from 145 to 220 hp, the car will use BMW X3’s all-wheel drive system. BMW will also be making a diesel version that will produce between 135 - 231 horsepower. The BMW X1 is expected to cost £23,000 in the UK.
