Jaguar is recently in the heat and the future of the company seems to be riding on new designs offered by the automaker. Design chief Ian Callum and advanced design boss Julian Thompson are working hard on the new designs, especially on the new and upcoming 2008 Jaguar S-Type that will become a four-door coupe to compete with the Mercedes CLS. Engine types that are being rumored for the 2008 Jaguar S-Type include a 3.2 liter inline-6 engine, a 5 liter V8 engine and supercharged R version that will likely produce 460 horsepower.
