Alan Mulally, Ford’s new CEO, drives a Lexus LS 430 in stead of a Ford or Lincoln. When asked why by Detroit Free Press’s columnist Tom Walsh, Mulally said “it’s the finest car in the world.” Walsh went onto say the fact that Mulally knows Lexus cars are better than anything currently in Ford’s lineup and he doesn’t care if the Ford employees or the media hear him say it out loud.
You know what else this tells us? He’s not stupid. Because a six speed LS 430 priced at $68,540 is way better than $40,000 or $35,000 Lincoln or Ford.
