We were reporting back in May that BMW is working on a Z6 which will possibly succeed the BMW Z8. It was also rumored back then that BMW will be dropping the Z4 model and creating a strong three model Z line including the BMW Z6, BMW Z2 and a BMW Z M Coupe. Today AutoWeek is reporting that BMW is working on the upcoming BMW Z2 which will sit below the BMW Z4 and will compete with cars like the Mazda MX-5. The BMW Z2 roadster is likely to have a 1.8 and 2.0 liter engine and maybe even a 2.0 turbocharged engine that will push 300 horsepower. We really wouldn’t mind a Z2, Z6 and Z M coupe lineup. Come on BMW, let’s clean it up.
