Ford has recently been in trouble and today a source told USA Today that the giant automaker is considering going private to give it some space and time to restructure. A source with “direct knowledge of the discussions” told USA Today that the company’s shares at $7.76, going private would cost Ford as little as $13.34 billion to go private. “The family is willing to look at anything,” said the source. “A lot of different sources are being gamed out.” The Ford family owns about 5% of Ford’s outstanding shares.
