The announcement was made 9 months after the Volvo C30 debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The Volvo C30 hatchback carries T5 engine producing 218 horsepower. We’re assuming Volvo is making this move to compete with BMW’s 1 Series which is also rumored to hit North American Markets in the summer of 2007.
