Audi R8

Next year that Audi Quattro unit will develop and launch the $100,000 plus R8 sports car. The R8 will give Audi Quattro a chance to make some noise against the BMW M and Mercedes-Benz AMG models. The second-generation RS4 will be going on sale in the United States this June with a price tag of $68,820. While the R8 will go into production next year there are no details on when it will be launched in the United States, the specs or for how much. The only thing we know as of right now is that Audi is investing $36.2 million dollars in the R8 and will share components with the all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Gallardo. The design of the R8 is based on Audi’s Le Mans Quattro concept car shown at the 2003 Frankfurt auto show.
