BMW Z8

BMW is planning a high-end sports car that will compete with the Mercedes-Benz SL. Supposedly BMW will be building off its popular and low-volume produced Z8 and calling it the Z6. There were originally only 5703 BMW Z8s produced, which ended production in 2003. The new BMW Z6 will supposedly be the same size as the 6 series and will borrow the engine and other mechanical components from the 5 and the 6. It will be designed much like the BMW Z8 but will be priced way below then the $130,000 Z8. It is also rumored that BMW will be dropping the Z4 and replacing it with the Z2 creating a strong three model Z line including the Z6, Z2 and the Z M coupe.
