The CEO of BMW, Tom Purves, is saying that BMW won’t be offering any diesel engine cars in the US until 2008. The reason for the delay is the tough emissions standards in California. While Purves says that the performance of the diesel engine BMWs are fantastic, he stated the BMW won’t make the move until it can offer them in all 50 states.
